HIV and AIDS

  • National Center for HIV, STD and TB Prevention http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/dhap.htm CDC offers extensive information on HIV/AIDS and includes transmission and transmission rumors section under “the most frequently asked questions” sub-title. This area addresses drinking glasses, dishes, etc. as a mode of transmission. Also, included under ”treatment”, is a section on “Caring for someone with aids at home”. This section offers educational insight into an HIV/AIDS person’s daily concerns, as well as those living with them.
  • HIV Nutrition Resources http://www.hivresources.com/ This very comprehensive site offers HIV/AIDS nutritional information. Also included are a slide show, links including medical nutrition, herbs and supplements, nutrition discussion groups, books, papers and abstracts. This site offers related links to a wide range of HIV/AIDS topics.
