About UMass Amherst Dining

Home Cooking, local sourcing, using freshly prepared ingredients, serving sustainable seafood, offering global cuisine and serving food that is good for you; these phrases sound familiar when describing the kind of food you would like to eat at home, but they can also describe the guiding principles of the food we prepare in the kitchens of UMass Dining.  Our mission is to serve you a variety of healthy and flavorful meals featuring local, regional and world cuisine, served in a sustainable and environmentally-conscious manner.We provide more than sustenance; we provide a familiar place for you to congregate with your friends to simply hang out and to ‘break bread’ together.  Dining is an integral part of campus life and we have created a living and learning atmosphere where the experience will surely last a lifetime.  UMass Dining serves you at 4 residential dining commons (DCs), 5 eateries at the Campus Center, 5 cafes, The University Club, Concessions, 3 Markets, 1 mobile canteen, 2 food trucks and through the Catering Department.
